A rare opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Account Handler to join a leading independent insurance broker at their site in Gateshead (Low Fell). Delivering a quality service is at the forefront of what they do and they are now actively seeking staff who align with their values, bringing a strong work ethic with a desire to develop their career. Due to a period of continued growth they are actively seeking an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join there thriving team.

THE ROLE

Our client has a proven track record of developing staff. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within commercial insurance. However, candidates without this will still be considered providing you’ve experience of working in a regulated environment alongside the right attitude, desire and skills needed as full training will be given. Duties will include but are not limited to.

• Increase revenue and client retention by effectively assisting with client renewals, mid‐term adjustments and servicing, and providing excellent customer service and advice.
• Positively support the firm’s business development goals, brand recognition and professional reputation as a leading general insurance broker through networking, client relationship management and development, and other PR activity in order to promote the firm in the local economy and community.
• Develop and maintain productive professional working relationships with colleagues and insurers.
• In conjunction with Account Directors, resolve enquiries in a timely to achieve excellent client service standards and retain existing clients.
