THE BUSINESS
Due to the high demand and the launch of a new product range, our client is looking for additonal Metalwork Operatives to work within our Metalwork team.
You will be working for a business that designs and manufacutring crucial life-saving products that have been in the industry for 25 years. Protecting buildings across the globe and the people within.

THE ROLE
Your main responsibilities will be to work within the metalwork facility manufacturing the companies products, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. The role can be repetitive due to the nature of the product however the overall package outweighs this.
The right candidate will have sheet metal work / manufacturing experience and be able to demonstrate at least one of the following:
General metalwork in a production environment
Exposure to cleaning metal work for paint and using metal work equipment
Experience using power coat equipment – gloss and fine texture finish
Checking/adjusting powder coating equipment
Experience of painting to a high standard
Operating Hydraulic CNC Punch or Press Brake
Loading and running programmes
Checking machinery for adjustments
Use of measuring equipement
Working with sheet metal 0.9mm – 1.6mm
THE PERSON
High attention to detail and strong ability to focus on tasks is essential
Experience working with powder coating equipement, paints, CNC Punch or Press Brake desired but not essential
Experience working with a sheet metal or production environment
You will be a team player who works well alone and with others
You will be reliable, professional and demonstrate a flexible approach
You will have a forward thinking, can do, hard working approach to your work and those around you
You can work efficiently, safely and accurately keeping quality at the forefront of your mind at all times
You are able to work shifts
You are able to reliably commute to Longbenton on a back shift which is 2pm-12am (reduced public transport if at all)
Comfortable using basic computer programmes
