THE BUSINESS

Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a CNC Miller to join our client based in Newcastle. The company in question have great reputation as a local manufacturer and have been operating within their sector for over 40 years. Our client are offering a competitive package with a permanent contract for someone who can operate Mazak machinery with Mazatrol controls please read on.

THE ROLE

  • Develop the optimal sequence of operations for each task.
  • Choose the suitable cutting tools for each specific cut.
  • Determine the appropriate cutting speeds.
  • Set and maintain tolerances.
  • Accurately position sections for cutting.
  • Translate instructions into a numerical program for computer execution.
  • Ensure that all work meets quality and technical standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machine tools.
  • Handle programming tasks.

THE PERSON

  • Proficient in milling with extensive experience.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and instructions.
  • Experience with Mazatrol programming.
  • Inspect raw materials for dimensions, quantity, defects, and required certifications.
  • Verify that finished work meets specified dimensions and requirements.
  • Adherence to safe work practices.
